The 25th Edition of the Best Lawyers in America has bestowed Lawyer of the Year accolades on two attorneys from the Law Firm of Conway, Olejniczak & Jerry, S.C.
Attorney Frederick Schmidt is being honored for his work in Trusts and Estates, a distinction he earned in 2013 as well, and Attorney George Burnett earned this award for his work in Personal Injury Litigation-Plaintiffs. Based on surveys completed by peers in the same geographic and practice area, The Lawyer of the Year award is given annually to the single lawyer who has the highest overall peer-review feedback in a given practice area from a field of those recognized as being among the Best Lawyers in America. Attorney Frederick Schmidt is currently Managing Partner of the firm. In addition to his work on trusts and estates, Fred also practices in the areas of general corporate, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, and non-profit institutions, to name a few. Fred is very active in the community, is a member of the Board of Trustees of St. Norbert College, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Weidner Center Presents and is involved in numerous other community-based organizations.Attorney George Burnett has earned accolades for his work in the litigation arena on many occasions. His legal knowledge and extensive experience in arguing cases at the circuit, district and state Supreme Court levels is noteworthy. George is Past President of the State Bar of Wisconsin and has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors. He also co-founded the Robert J. Parins Inn of Court (n/k/a The Hon. Robert J. Parins Legal Society of Northeast Wisconsin, Inc.).
